LALO is more than a fashion brand—it is a story of creativity, passion, and the beauty of handmade craftsmanship. It all began in 2012 with two sisters, Lalo and Nina Dolidze. But the dream started even earlier, in Lalo’s university years, when she imagined something different—knitwear that wasn’t just clothing, but art. Inspired by nature, by colors, by the world around her, she wanted to create something bold, something unforgettable.
Her twin sister, Nina, believed in that dream. Together, they turned an idea into reality. With patience, with skill, and with hands that knew the rhythm of tradition, they wove their first cardigans—pieces so unique, so full of heart, that soon the world took notice.
There are 200 women behind each piece of LALO. Mothers, grandmothers, women who have spent their lives creating with their hands. Many of them are in their 60s and 70s. Some cannot leave their homes anymore—their legs may be tired, but their fingers still remember. In their warm rooms, where the air smells of tea and memories, they knit. They do not rush. They do not waste. Every stitch is careful, full of patience, full of love.
